Our team from Tall Tree Early Learning Manning and Tall Tree Outside School Hours Care Manning had a fantastic time taking part in the recent Manning Laneway Festival, where we hosted an interactive space designed to get young children moving, playing and having fun. The event brought together families from across the community, creating a lively atmosphere filled with laughter, games and connection.
Throughout the day, our Educators engaged with families from our centre and community, creating a welcoming area where kids could explore, have their faces painted and enjoy being active. The response from families was overwhelmingly positive, with children eager to jump in and give everything a go.
The standout activity of the day was undoubtedly TAG sports. The energy around the TAG area was infectious, with plenty of smiles, cheers, and high-fives as children engaged in various sporting activities facilitated by our coach, Cameron. TAG Sports is fully-inclusive program in both our Early Learning and OSHC Services with sports rotating every three weeks and designed to equip children with fundamental skills, confidence, resilience, teamwork and instill a lifelong love of movement.
Beyond the games themselves, the festival provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with local families and share the importance of active play in childhood. Events like the Manning Laneway Festival highlight how powerful community gatherings can be in bringing people together and connecting our educators with our families.
A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand, joined in the activities, and helped make the day such a success. We’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to be part of such a vibrant community event.
