Why Pre-Kindy at Tall Tree

For 30 years, local families have trusted Tall Tree to care for their children. Pre-Kindy builds on that, giving three to four year-olds a calm, unhurried year to make friends, manage big feelings and discover what they love.

Our approach is to provide an environment where children feel secure, curious and capable, ready for whatever comes next and to go wherever their heart desires.

Confidence · Connection · Community

Confidence

Children learn to trust their own ideas, try again when things are tricky and take on new challenges with a smile.

Connection

Unhurried days mean deep relationships with educators and friends and time to practise sharing, cooperating and regulating.

Community

Weekly library visits, local excursions and family events help children belong to a world bigger than the kindy gate.

How we learn

Pre-Kindy is developed and overseen by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher and aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF V2).

Slow pedagogy

Fewer transitions, long blocks of play, time to notice and wonder.

Child-led projects

Investigations that grow from children's own interests.

Nature and outdoors

Garden, loose parts, real tools and seasonal play.

Dispositions for life

Curiosity, persistence, cooperation, confidence, creativity and reflection.

Families receive an individual learning portfolio with learning stories, photos and work samples, a rich overview of their child's growth.
