The spirit of teamwork, energy and laughter filled the air at our Annual OSHC Sports Carnival, where over 300 children, coaches and educators came together from all our OSHC services to celebrate a day of fitness, friendship and fun.
Hosted under sunny skies, the carnival brought our community together in a vibrant showcase of sporting activities designed to encourage children to get active, try new skills and embrace the joy of movement. From relay races and obstacle courses to tug-of-war and novelty games, the event catered for all abilities and gave every child a chance to shine.
With some impressive performances across the day, our winner services were:
🥇 1st Place - Atlantis OSHC Ocean Keys
🥈 2nd Place - Atlantis OSHC Kinross
🥉 3rd Place - Atlantis OSHC Peter Moyes
We also proudly presented the TAG Sportsmanship Award to Tall Tree OSHC Manning, recognised for their outstanding team spirit and sportsmanship throughout the day.
A huge well done to all the children (and educators!) who participated and supported their teams. The 2025 TAG Sports Carnival was an unforgettable highlight of the OSHC Vacation Care calendar!
Why Fitness Matters
At The Atlantis Group, we believe that fitness and physical activity are essential for children’s growth and wellbeing. Regular exercise helps children build strong bodies, develop coordination and boost self-confidence, while also supporting positive mental health. Most importantly, it teaches teamwork, resilience and the importance of giving things a go, skills that last well beyond the sporting field.
Our Sports Carnival reflects this philosophy by providing children with opportunities to move, compete in a friendly spirit and cheer on their peers. These shared experiences strengthen bonds not only between the children, but also across our wider OSHC community.
Building Community Through Sport
What makes the Sports Carnival so special is the way it brings everyone together. Children proudly wore their service colours, cheering loudly for teammates and celebrating each achievement, big or small. Educators and coaches joined in the excitement too, creating an atmosphere of unity and celebration.
The turnout of over 300 attendees is a true testament to the enthusiasm and commitment of our community. Together, we created memories that children will carry with them for years to come.
Looking Ahead
As we wrap up another successful carnival, we are reminded that fitness isn’t just about sport, it is about healthy habits, positive attitudes and lifelong wellbeing. We are proud to offer opportunities like this that celebrate movement, encourage participation and build connections across our OSHC services.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our coaches, educators and most importantly, our children, for making the Sports Carnival such a vibrant and joyful event. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
