We’re looking for a warm, passionate Room Leader to join our well-loved team. If you're a Diploma Qualified Educator with leadership skills, a nurturing spirit, and a desire to make a meaningful impact on children’s early development, we’d love to hear from you. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a Room Leader role within a supportive, values-driven team that truly values your contributions.

Full-Time | Permanent - Monday to Friday | Full Availability between the hours of 6.30am to 6pm

Your Role

As a Room Leader, you’ll lead the daily operations of your room and support a team of educators to deliver high-quality care and education for children aged 0 to 5. Your role will involve guiding curriculum planning, fostering a collaborative team culture, and creating a warm, engaging learning environment that supports the developmental needs of every child.

You will have opportunities for ongoing professional development, mentoring, and leadership growth—while making a real difference in the lives of children and families.

As a Room Leader, you will:

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of developmentally appropriate learning programs.
  • Support, mentor, and guide your team of educators to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating space that supports children’s exploration and growth.
  • Monitor and document children’s progress and development, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Oversee daily routines, transitions, and team collaboration to create a calm, consistent environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including child protection, health and safety, and the National Quality Framework (NQF).
  • Participate in and encourage professional development to support team growth and reflective practice.

Your Qualifications
  • Hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
  • Have a solid understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and relevant legislative requirements.
  • Demonstrate experience or potential in leading a team within an early childhood setting.
  • Be a proactive, positive role model who fosters a culture of respect, support, and open communication.
  • Be passionate about creating enriching, play-based learning experiences that meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Show exceptional organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain current First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis training, and hold a valid Working with Children Check.
