We are currently seeking a warm, motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Educator to join our much-loved Tall Tree Early Learning Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in Early Childhood Education while studying towards your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Your Role

As a Trainee Educator, you will work alongside experienced Educators and mentors while undertaking your Certificate III studies. You’ll assist in delivering engaging, play-based learning and care for children aged 0–5. This role will give you the opportunity to grow your skills, gain experience in a nurturing setting, and be supported every step of the way as you build a rewarding career in early childhood education.

As a Trainee, you will:

  • Support the daily operations of the room under the guidance of qualified Educators.
  • Assist in setting up learning experiences and maintaining a safe, stimulating environment.
  • Learn to observe and document children’s learning, behaviours, and interests.
  • Help foster positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
  • Contribute to routines such as meals, sleep times, and transitions with care and attention.
  • Follow direction from your mentor and room leaders while gradually developing your knowledge and confidence.
  • Work towards understanding the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF).
  • Participate in staff meetings, professionaldevelopment, and internal training sessions.
Your Qualifications

·       A genuine interest in working with young children and a strong desire to build a career in Early Childhood Education.

·       Willingness to enrol in (or already enrolled in) a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

·       A proactive, caring, and respectful attitude towards children, families, and colleagues.

·       A team player with good communication skills and a willingness to learn.

·       Reliability, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility.

·       Availability to work Monday to Friday, within the centre’s operating hours.

·       Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and other compliance documentation required for the role.
