Chosen by the Australian Childcare Alliance, this theme couldn’t be timelier. It reflects the unity, resilience and heart that educators bring to their work every single day. In a year of challenges and change, our educators have continued to shine illuminating children’s learning journeys, supporting families and uplifting one another.

At Tall Tree, we believe “Together We All Shine” is more than a theme – it’s who we are. Every educator, every child, every team member contributes to the bright, collective impact of our community. With this spirit, we set out to create a week-long celebration filled with gratitude, recognition, self-care and fun.

How We Celebrated:

Monday - Gratitude Blooms

We began the week with a sweet surprise: Krispy Kreme doughnuts and local bakery treats awaiting our educators in the staffroom. A Gratitude Display invited families and children to write heartfelt thank-you notes on stars such as “Thank you for helping me shine!”

Tuesday - Shine On, Team!

Peer-to-peer appreciation was the focus of Tuesday. Educators shared kind words through “Shine Cards,” writing messages like “You made my day shine brighter when you…” These messages were shared by Centre Managers and displayed on a “Wall of Shine.” The spirit of teamwork was on full display, with educators celebrating each other’s light and impact.

Wednesday - The Heart of What We Do

Educators Day was the highlight of the week. Every educator received a branded stainless-steel water bottle, and mini seed packet – a small token to say thank you for helping our future grow.

Families and children shared their love in a video compilation that brought smiles (and a few happy tears). Our Managing Director, Rory Hindle shared messages of appreciation, reminding our educators how valued they are.

Thursday - Glow & Grow

On Thursday, the focus turned to wellbeing. Staffrooms became Glow & Grow Stations, complete with face masks, hand creams, herbal teas and chocolate treats. It was a chance for our educators to pause, recharge and connect with one another. After all, when we care for ourselves, we shine brighter for others.

Friday - Sparkle Day

We closed the week with colour, laughter and fun. Sparkle Day saw children and educators dressed in bright colours, glitter and sparkles. Services hosted a mini “Shine Parade” filled with instruments, pom-poms and cheers. Educators were recognised with Shine Awards like Brightest Smile and Ray of Sunshine, while each received a Shining Star Treat Pack to end the week with a little sparkle.

A Week to Remember

Our goal was simple: to celebrate, uplift and genuinely thank our educators in a way that felt consistent across our network while reflecting our people-first culture. From flowers for our Centre Managers and Assistant Managers to fun parades and wellbeing treats, every detail was designed to say:
