Recently launched across six of our Perth Early Learning Centres after its successful roll out throughout our nine OSHC services, TAG Sports is transforming the way children experience movement and wellbeing.
The program blends fitness, skill-building and playful learning to support every child’s physical, emotional and social growth.
Led by passionate, qualified coaches, TAG Sports sessions are packed with age-appropriate games, team challenges and fun physical activities. Children build essential motor skills like coordination, balance and agility; all while developing confidence, communication and a love for being active.
“We created TAG Sports because movement is vital to children’s development and self-esteem,” says Rory Hindle, Managing Director of The Atlantis Group. “This program goes beyond sport, it’s about giving kids the confidence to move, connect and thrive.”
The weekly sessions follow a structured but flexible format that includes movement circuits, sports-based games and skill-focused activities. Designed to be inclusive and non-competitive, the program welcomes children of all personalities and abilities, creating a safe and encouraging space for everyone to shine.
Early feedback from educators and families has been overwhelmingly positive. TAG Sports has quickly become a highlight of the week adding new energy, engagement and excitement to the day.
Grace, Educational Leader at Tall Tree says “The TAG Sports program has become a much-loved and embedded part of our early learning curriculum bringing excitement, energy and genuine joy to the children. It not only supports incredible physical development, like gross motor skills and coordination, but also nurtures social, emotional and communication growth. With an external coach leading the sessions, it adds a fresh spark that boosts engagement, confidence and a lifelong love of being active making a lasting impact on children’s wellbeing throughout the day.”
More than just a program, TAG Sports reflects our wider commitment to holistic education nurturing not just cognitive and creative learning, but also physical wellbeing and emotional resilience.
Matias, Lead Sports Coordinator comments “I’m proud to oversee the TAG Sports program across our Early Learning and OSHC services. I’ve been working in the sports field for nine years and it’s incredibly rewarding to share my passion for health and sport with the next generation. TAG Sports is a game changer, it helps children build a positive relationship with physical activity from a young age. The program encourages children to stay active and healthy, while giving them the chance to explore and try a variety of sports in a fun and inclusive way. We’re helping children build healthy habits that could last a lifetime and that’s powerful. It’s not just about sport. It’s about joy, confidence, emotional regulation and essential life skills that carry through into everyday life.”
With a focus on participation, encouragement, and trying new things, TAG Sports helps children develop healthy habits and positive associations with physical activity from a young age. Whether your child is confident and energetic or still finding their rhythm, the program offers space to explore, grow and feel good in their own body.
