A time in childhood to celebrate freedom, imagination and first friendships, as your little one tip toes towards starting school.

Such a special time that can never be recreated. Never again will a time so full of wonderment and freedom exist. In their final years of pre-school, we believe children should enjoy the pure delight of being children. Running in fresh air, creating at will, climbing, imagining, forming a firm foundation of positivity and well-being, from which their future can spring.

We weave school-readiness concepts into the daily fabric of our Kindy Room, careful not to tread on child-led learning opportunities. We learn the ABCs and the 123s but never at the expense of an imaginary game or something that sparks their interest.

We include a variety of regular incursions and excursions to provide an opportunity for knowledge and interest expansion, as well as yoga and mindfulness exercises to allow for little minds to slow and little bodies to stretch. Art and expression, friendship and independence, an introduction to early numeracy and literacy, our Kindy Room is the perfect stop on the way to your little one's final destination of conventional schooling.

Nature School

Nothing stops a child in their tracks like nature. Simple discoveries that spark intrigue and curiosity. Few things delight as much as the opportunity to see the world through your little one’s eyes and expressive play in nature provides a wonderful canvas.

We create opportunities for children to take measured risks, appropriate to the environment and their development, enabling them to build their confidence and physical abilities. Children are given the opportunity to learn at their own pace, and are encouraged to become curious learners.

Our beautiful learning environments allow for exploration and provide children with the knowledge and tools to learn how to look after themselves, each other and the natural environment, while rest areas provide a quiet place to gather thoughts and reflect upon learning.

Our truly unique Nature School program offers children an abundance of room to learn and grow. We work with the children to develop learning activities which support their own individual interests and observations, incorporating the Early Years Learning Framework, while forming caring relationships and bonds.

Community

Children do not learn through isolation, they learn through an immersive and dynamic process that enables them to truly experience all that life, and the wider world, has to offer. We firmly believe it takes a village to raise a child and we want to make sure our children have a village.

History, culture, commerce, people - they all have so much to offer little minds and we make sure our Tall Tree children get out into their local community to in order to experience it. We encourage family input into our curriculum, and we invite people from all walks of life to come and share their stories with us through our incursion program. You'll see us venturing out into the local community and seeing what we can learn, visiting and supporting local businesses along the way.
