Experience the unique interplay of our 21st century approach to high quality early learning with enriched nurturing.

Located in the heart of a vibrant, urban village, Tall Tree Early Learning Leederville has been purpose-designed to pay homage to the rich cultural experience on its doorstep and architecturally inspired by nature.

Our centre is underpinned by our philosophy to embrace eachchild’s uniqueness. We provide an environment that nourishes and supports all our Tall Tree children of today, to develop into strong, resilient, and self-assured children of tomorrow.

Here your children will experience a home away from home, with our welcoming, highly qualified, and passionate team of Educators. We are committed to fostering secure relationships with our families through strong communication and collaboration, to help nurture and build a sense of belonging with each of child, allowing them to be anything they aspire to be.

Within our Leederville centre, we offer four spacious and light-flooded rooms, Nursery, Babies, Toddler and Preschool. Each room has direct access to our wrap-around balcony with the Perth CBD skyline in view. Featuring custom-designed playscapes made from recycled timber and age-appropriate climbing structures to build strength and support active minds and bodies. Sandpits to fascinate to our budding diggers and builders and winding pathways to encourage imaginative play. Our green thumbs will love our large, mature trees, flower beds and veggie gardens, which are hand-picked and used in our daily meals prepared by our inhouse Chef. For those who feel the desire to seek respite, an abundance of quiet corners and sitting areas await.

Inside, the needs and interests of the children are met with purposeful and engaging experiences. This is delivered in calming spaces to encourage creative souls to express themselves and learn a sense of wonder through our Reggio Emilia inspired curriculum. We look forward to welcoming you at Tall Tree Early Learning Leederville.

Atelier

Creative expression is a window into the heart song of even the littlest people.

Using art to guide and inform our child-led learning experiences, our Atelier plays a very important role in learning. The freedom to create and express, assists little ones to make sense of the world around them and to build on the learnings they encounter as they wander through their day-to-day lives.

We provide blank canvasses and catalysts of inspiration to facilitate their creative freedom. We allow your little one to choose what they wish to express. We encourage, rather than inform their choices, and refrain from overly-structured activities and templates.

Few things delight as much as the opportunity to see the world through your little one's eyes and art is wonderful medium in which to do so.

Meet
Felicity
Our Centre Manager at Tall Tree Early Learning - Leederville

Hi families, I'm Felicity, your Centre Manager at Tall Tree Early Learning Leederville.

I've been part of the early years industry for over 17 years and it's a journey that started in the UK, where I spent seven years as a Room Leader in a baby room before moving into a Preschool Room Leader role for two years. I hold a Bachelor's in Early Years from the UK and a Postgraduate Degree in Education from Edith Cowan University. I moved to Australia in 2016 and spent the next nine years growing with one organisation as a Kindy Room Leader and Educational Leader, then Centre Manager for three years, before returning to a Kindy Room Leader and Educational Leader role after maternity leave.

My connection to Tall Tree actually began as a parent. I toured one of our centres looking for a place for my six-month-old and what struck me straight away was the value placed on natural environments and how clearly the philosophy and values came through in the way the centre ran. Since joining as an Educator and Centre Manager, I've valued the consistent support and collaboration from Support Office and the genuine investment in learning and development, for me and for the Educators I work alongside.

What motivates me is creating a centre where families feel welcomed, supported, respected and valued. A service where you can place your trust in us to care for your children with confidence. I also care deeply about building a culture where our educators feel valued, where their own interests are nurtured and where they're inspired to keep growing their knowledge and practice.

Families are such an important part of this journey, you're your child's first teachers and the insights you share about their strengths, interests, culture, language and individual needs are what allow us to plan experiences that are truly meaningful for them. I also believe strongly in the role of community in Early Learning. Engaging with the world beyond our centre helps children understand different cultures and perspectives and builds their sense of collaboration and belonging in the wider world.

Outside of the centre, my favourite place to be is by my son's side, watching him discover the world and sharing my love of crafting and creativity with him.

I'm looking forward to continuing to build relationships with all our children, families and Educators here at Tall Tree Early Learning Leederville.

Testimonials

Anastasia

Leederville

My girls attend Tall Tree Early Learning Leederville four days a week and it is very important to our family that they are happy to be there.

The Educators and Managers are very professional and make us feel well looked after.

The regular reports of their day show how busy they are. Lots of activities, modern design of the space and good food are all the benefits we see as well.

Nutrition

We believe good nutrition is vital in a child’s physical and mental development. Ensuring your little one is healthy, satiated and nourished is a passion for us; and so, Food Education is an essential component in each and every day.

Our in-house Food Coordinators partner with accredited children’s Nutritionists to create seasonal menus and are prepared fresh daily in our Centre’s. Our homestyle approach ensures we create wholesome, balanced meals using ingredients that can be sourced locally, readily available and food we know your children will enjoy eating.

We encourage children to experience new flavours and textures to gain exposure to a variety of food types. We encourage children to self-serve to ensure they gain and build on their fine motor skills and independence. We serve our food in a relaxed setting to ensure mealtimes are always a positive experience and an opportunity to build on their social skills.

All menus are developed with allergies in mind, offering a variety of gluten-free, nut-free, diary-free and vegan alternatives. As an environmentally conscious organization we are committed to sustainability and reduced food wastes in our services.
